Installation ============ 1. Download the PayPal File Download plugin. It's a zip file. 2. Log in to your WordPress administration area, and under Plugins, choose Add New. 3. In the top menu in plugins, choose Upload. 4. Click Choose File (or Browse) and select the Zip file for PayPal File Download you downloaded. It usually is named paypal_file_download.zip. 5. Once you've selected it, click Upload. 6. Click Activate to activate the plugin. You're done! Initial Configuration ===================== 1. Under the PayPal File Download menu item, click Settings. 2. There's a lot of stuff you'll want to set here. It includes: - PayPal Email: the email you registered with PayPal (make sure you've also enrolled to PayPal Website Payments Standard.) - Expire links after...: this is the number of days that download links should be made available after payment. - Return URL: this is the URL that the customer is directed to after they make their payment. It should be a "Thank you" page that complies with PayPal's return URL rules. - Email message: this is the message that goes out to the customer receives following payment. You can use any of the following variables which will be replaced with the actual value in the email: [FIRST_NAME] [LAST_NAME] [DOWNLOAD_LINK] [PRODUCT_NAME] [TRANSACTION_ID] 3. Make sure you've at least set your PayPal Email, and then click Save Changes. You're done! ==== Like pictures?
